NewA Cottage for Mom is out now

Beyond the Page. Beyond the Expected.

Some books tell stories. Others change the way we see the world. At Point Beyond Publishing, we create both — publishing compelling stories, fresh perspectives, and practical resources that inspire readers to think differently and move forward with purpose.

Our publishing models

Three ways we publish

Original work, practical resources and licensed programs. Each serves a different reader, and each is held to the same editorial standard.

Original Publishing

Fiction, narrative nonfiction and original works that explore the human experience, challenge assumptions and bring meaningful stories to readers.

Practical & Educational Publishing

Research-informed guidebooks, workbooks and planning tools that help individuals, families and organisations navigate important life decisions.

Licensed Content & Institutional Programs

Educational publications, facilitator-led workshops and companion resources that organisations license and deliver to their own communities.

Featured initiatives

Published as programs, not one-off titles

Every initiative begins with a question readers actually ask, and keeps growing as the answers deepen.

Flagship initiative

No Need to Move, Improve!

Our flagship educational publishing initiative, supported by NoNeedToMove.com. A growing collection of practical guides, workbooks, planning resources and licensed workshops for the decisions that come with aging, independence and caregiving.

  • Practical guidance on adapting a home so it keeps working as needs change.
  • Resources for caregivers weighing care, cost and independence.
  • Licensed workshops that organisations can deliver to their own communities.
For organizations, agencies, business & more

Bring our programs to your community

If your organization works with older adults, families or learners, you can license our publications and workshop programs and deliver them yourselves. The facilitation materials and companion resources are already built.

  • Educational publications to put in the hands of your members, clients or students.
  • Facilitator-led workshops, with the materials to run them.
  • Companion resources that carry the program beyond the session.

Author Submissions

We are currently not accepting unsolicited submissions. Please check back in the Spring for our submission window and requirements. Agents are welcome to connect with our team if you have a title for us to consider.

Please no Sci-Fi, Sports, Business Improvement and Process, Humor, Romance, Gift Books, Comics, Coloring Books or Calendars. We prefer educational content that addresses a specific need or concern, nonprofit strategy and community building, literary fiction that explores the uniqueness of our humanity, stories of impact from what would be an otherwise ordinary person who lives in an extraordinary way, and we entertain a limited number of children's books that explore doing good, acting with purpose and living with passion.
